DSS arrests Boko Haram leaders, kidnappers

In what can be described as a major raid, the Department of State Services (DSS), has arrested many Boko Haram terrorists and kidnappers in various locations across the country.
This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja, yesterday and signed by Tony Upuiyo.
According to the statement, after conducting security operations in some flash points in Lagos, the Service arrested seven kidnap suspects.
While describing how the suspects were arrested, the DSS said: “Gilbert Koku Nelson, John Nelson, Adekoya Kazeem, Muhammad Lawal, Abu Yahro and Kelvin Nwanaji, were arrested in connection with the kidnap of a management staff of Dangote Company.
“The two other suspects, Abdullahi Bello, a Custom Officer and Bello Gumel, were apprehended at Navy Town, Ojo LGA, and Naval Base, Alakija, respectively, in connection with the kidnap of another Custom Officer, on December 20, 2016.”
Members of the gang, the statement noted, specialised in spying on senior company executives and laying ambush for kidnap and robbery operations for huge ransoms.
