Flying Eagles star defender Lukman Zakari will not be given a contract by CS Sfaxien after the Tunisian club was slammed a transfer ban by FIFA over an improper transaction.
“Sfaxien is not giving Zakari a contract because they have been banned by FIFA from making any transfers till January 2018,” a source informed.
“The ban has to do with the improper transfer of another player and that has now affected Zakari.”
Central defender Zakari was an ever-present as Nigeria won a fifth FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile in 2015.
He has previously trained for several months with the Tunisian club.
The Kaduna-born player may now have to explore the reported interests he has sparked off in Europe.
