Man remanded in prison for stealing Ebonyi APC materials

A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Abakaliki, yester­day remanded one Azu­buike wali aged 31 years to prisons custody for alleged involvement in armed robbery and theft of All Progressives Con­gress, (APC) materials in Ebonyi State.
Wali was charged on a three-count charge of armed robbery, ille­gal possession of fire arms and robbing of party ma­terials valued at N60,000 belonging to APC. The suspect was alleged to have committed the crime on December 22, 2016 at Amainyima Okpuitumo in Ikwo Local Govern­ment Area of the state.
“That you Azubuike Nwali and others now at large, on 22nd day of De­cember, 2016 at Amainyi­ma Okpuitumo in Ikwo Local Government Area in jurisdiction of this honourable court, armed yourself with locally made pistol and robbed one Ag­ala Ifeanyi and Nwanchor and thereby committed an offense punishable under Section 402 of the Crimi­nal Code Cap 33 vol.1 Laws of Ebonyi State of Nigeria 2009.”
