Despite the ongoing economic recession in the country, the Medical Centre of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State has acquired first class medical equipment.
This was disclosed by the Medical Director of the Centre, Dr Abdulmalik Mustapha during an interview in his office recently.
Mustapha applauded the management of the polytechnic for its tremendous support to the medical centre in procuring the effective medical facilities.
On his part, the Chief Nurse of the Centre who doubles as the National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS) Desk Officer, Alhaji Yabagi Gimba, said officials of the scheme have rated the medical centre first among its peers.
Explaining further, Gimba stated that the NHIS officials have also granted the Centre secondary facilities freely because of its outstanding performance and the highly standard first class medical equipment it possessed.
Gimba added that, before now, the medical centre lacked facilities to run its routine activities, but the school management mandated the medical management to update the medical centre with the required facilities.
