Alhaji Shehu Abubakar has been appointed the new Director for the Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board. He is to serve in acting capacity.
A statement by the board’s spokesman, Muhammad Lawal Aliyu, said Alhaji Shehu Abubakar has since assumed office.
He replaces the former director, Malam Muhammad Bashir, who proceeds on a year-long training at National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos, Plateau State.
Until his appointment, Alhaji Shehu Abubakar, was the Deputy Director, Operations in the board.
On his assumption, the statement said the new Director charged staff of the board to be honest and discharge their duties diligently.
