I didn't marry a white woman for British Passport but rather I married her because of my daughter's - Yomi Fabiyi

Yomi Fabiyi is one of the controversial actors in the Yoruba sector of Nollywood. After a failed first marriage he decided to give another shot at love and married a white lady. No sooner than he consummated his relationship, tongues started to waggle that he married her because he wanted to relocate to the UK. The actor though has since remained in Nigeria doing what he knows best but the rumour still lingered.
In a recent interview with ‘Gbajumo Losere’ on DSTV, he finally opened up on why he married Fran, his white lover.
“After my first marriage crashed, I decided to remarry to this white lady. Truly, she genuinely loved me and I fell in love with her too. But that wasn’t why we got married. Marriage came after I told her about my Ex and how I so wanted to gain custody of my daughter.
“I got married first to a South African lady. She was going to deliver and I wasn’t there and as it is the practice abroad she had to present another baby daddy which I consented to. I wasn’t happy with my decision but then I had no choice. As if I knew, I named my daughter Etomi, meaning ‘my right’. So in order words if this child was mine, someday I will gain custody of her.
Along the line the marriage crashed for reasons I would not like to mention. She did something I cannot talk about.
I later met this white woman. After our little chat she took interest in me and we started a relationship. I told her about my child with my ex and she promised to assist me. And that she could only achieve if we got married and since I saw her sincerity and affection for me we got married.
“So it was amazing that people started spreading rumours that I got married to her because of green card. This is ten years that I have been traveling abroad with my crew and pa’s,” he concluded.
