Okorocha lauds VCN sports

 Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has lauded the management and staff of VCN Sports Limited for boosting sports development in the State and Nigeria generally.

Okorocha particularly poured encomiums on VCN Sports Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Victor Nwaribeaku (Onwa) for the sponsorship and organisation of the recently-concluded football tournament at Egbu village, Awo-Idemili autonomous community in Orsu Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State.

The governor said the annual tournament has helped in further uniting youths and the people of the community, while declaring that such grassroots sports development efforts would go a long way in promoting friendship, unity and progress in the state.

Governor Okorocha said he was proud of Nwaribeaku for touching the lives of millions in Egbu, Awo-Idemili as he commissioned a 1.5km road project, borehole project and 300 KVA electric transformer provided by the VCN Sports boss, urging all true sons and daughters of Imo State to emulate the Nwaribeaku example.

Also speaking after a thanksgiving service held at the Christ the King Church, Egbu, Awo-Idemili for successful football tournament, another sports enthusiast and leader, Felix Obodoechei (Matador) prayed God to bless Nwaribeaku for his immense contribution towards the development of his community.

"We pray God to bless him (Nwaribeaku) everyday as our community has got a big boost with this the sports carnival, tarred road, borehole and street lights.”
