Nasarawa State Government has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of feeding the public with adulterated figures of the Paris Club refunds to the state.
A statement signed by Ahmed Tukur the Special Assistant on Media on Publicity to the governor said contrary to figures being peddled by the state chapter of PDP, the state government received N8.4 billion as its share not N8b.
The statement said the APC administration in the state will not take the line of PDP where its primary duty is to feed the public with fabricated stories.
A breakdown of the figure shows that the state government had the lion share of N5.4 billion while the local governments shared N3 billion.
Tukur accused the opposition party of feeding members of the public with outright lies and half-truths through a publication in a daily and urged the people to ignore the claims.
