Pastor Okafor donates N3.5m to ailing Nollywood stars

With the spate of ailing Nollywood practi­tioners among vari­ous other entertainers rising by the day, which has given rise to the emergence of a new group known as Save Nollywood Ac­tors Foundation (SNAF) and led by fellow thespians Rita Ed­ochie, Ejiro Okurame, Chioma Okoye and Emeka Ojukwu (Torino). The group, which made progress with the recent support from the governor of Abia State, towards the treat­ment of one of the oldest cases in the industry, Prince James Uche, has again gotten another encouraging financial support from a popular Lagos pastor.
The Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministry, Ojodu, Lagos, Dr. Chris Okafor, had during a thanksgiving service recently, announced the dona­tion of the sum of N3.5m to support the treatment of these ailing artistes.
According to Emeka Ojuk­wu, the group is taking the bull by the horn in a bid to ensure that these artistes do not lose their lives and called on other well-meaning Nigerians to sup­port these talents with their widows might.
Among the ill entertainers to benefit from the cash gift are Prince James Uche, Obi Madubogwu, Romeo Casual, Romanus Amuta (Natty), Fre­gene Nicholas, Tunde Alabi, Emma Ugolee, Victor Olaitor, Jude Oteka, Harry B, Amae­chi Monagor, Patience Oseni, Theodore Anyanji, Tony Ak­posheri and Ernest Azuzu, Victor Eze, Adedayo Liadi, Vic­toria C.Ndubuaku, Frank Ibi­sidor Asiyai, Tommy Oyewole, Promise Nnaji, Sadiq Daba and Gbenga Peters.
