Imama Amapakabo, the Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers has described the 4-1 loss to Zamalek of Egypt in the CAF Champions League Round of 32 first leg last Sunday, as very unfortunate.
The Flying Antelopes arrived at Akanun Ibiam International Airport, Enugu yesterday from Egypt to a very warm reception by the club’s fans.
Amapakabo said that though his players did their best, it was not a good day for the team, according to a release by team Media Officver, Foster Chime.
According to Amapakabo, his players and coaches have put the loss behind them and now focusing on the return leg match scheduled on Sunday by3pm at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu, adding that with proper planning and re strategizing, he is very optimistic that Rangers will cancel the first leg result in Cairo and go ahead to win and qualify for the group stage.
He maintained that though the Sundays match will be an uphill task, but definitely surmountable giving example of Barcelona FC versus PSG Champions league game which Barcelona lost 4 – 0 in their first leg but came back to trash PSG, 5 goals to one.
