Amaechi, IGP urged to resolve crisis in transport union

The Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, (ACOMORAN), has urged the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and Minister of Transport, Chibuike Ameachi, to resolve the factional crisis among the members.
The National President of the association, Alhaji Muhammad Hassan, said the crisis brewing across the association, if not urgently addressed, would lead to breakdown of law and order across the country.
Briefing journalists on Thursday in Abuja, at the association’s headquarters, Hassan drew the attention of the IGP to the activities of a group, ‘Amalgamated Commercial Tricycles, Motorcycles Owners, Repairs and Riders Association’ operating under a similar name and CAC number, which, he said, would ignite crisis in states.
He regretted that the factional association recently inaugurated its executives He said, “This body adopted our name and registration number and the matter is before a law court.
