A political pressure group, Dozie Anambra Development Initiative (DADI) has warned that it would never allow any other corrupt politician to occupy the governorship seat again in the state.
DADI spoke through its co-founder, Mr Ody Chukwube during an interactive meeting held for local government contact persons in Awka.
Chukwube said it would only associate with and work for the emergence of a governor who will return the state to the cherished Igbo norms that stood the Igbo out in the past.
Chukwube disclosed that DADI has identified such a corrupt-free politician with potential in the ex-minister of Aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka, and had also mounted pressure on him to contest the governorship election of the state, come November 18, this year.
According to him, “When we approached Chidoka at the initial stage, he declined interest in the governorship position of the state, but we were emphatic about what we wanted, and I am happy to say today that he has given in, and we are now ready to work for his emergence.”
He further stated that the group had conducted several research and investigations on those running for the governorship seat, and concluded that whoever will be the governor has to be free of corruption and be rooted in culture, and it is Chidoka that fits into that position.
Another co-founder of the organization, Hon Uzo George-Tiga also stated that the group is not leaving any stone unturned in ensuring that the right person emerged as governor, irrespective of what party he comes from.
