ODOGWU EMEKA ODOGWU reports that Daniel Bob Global Foundation has brought succour to schools, widows and widowers in Awada Obosi and its environs, in Anambra State, at a special event held at Sedes Sapientia Dei group of Schools, Awada.
Founder of the foundation, Mr. Daniel Orji, said that the aim of the foundation is to bring hope to the hopeless and empower humanity to achieve its fullest potentials as well as enhance quality of life for all.
Mr. Orji who noted that he has been helping his fellow human beings for decades now, assured that he will sustain the foundation as far as he lives by the special grace of God.
“The essence of my visit to Awada today is to assist the less-privileged people, widows, widowers and all people that fall within that category who are going through very difficult situations. We also made handsome donations to the school children in this environment; providing them with some educational materials and sports wears.”
“Daniel Bob Global Foundation was initiated by me because since my life, I like assisting people. It serves as a platform to get closer to the needy and provide them help. Our main objective is to bring hope to the hopeless and empower humanity in order to achieve their fullest potentials through skill acquisition and career development” he maintained.
A member of the board of trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Robinson Godstime, called on other members of the society to be their brother’s keeper.
“The idea behind the establishment of this foundation is to give succour to the needy; to make those who are going through one difficulty or the other to understand that there will always be a way out of every situation, no matter how bad it might seem. Our intention is to touch the needy in so many positive ways possible” said Robinson.
In their separate speeches, the manager of Sedes Sapientia Dei Group of schools Awada, Reverend Father Vincent Ezenwaka, and a pupil, Miss Emmaculetta Attah, commended the philanthropist for his magnanimity and prayed God to bless him.
The international foundation came with various food items which include but not limited to several bags of rice, over 50 cartons of Indomie noodles, educational materials, dozens of exercise books, sports wears, as well as monetary package which they donated to the indigent citizens of the area.
The recipients of the largess include widows, widowers, poor people, little children resident in the area, Block Rosary centres, schools, and others. The students and pupils were all given sports wears, exercise books and other academic materials to support learning.
The benefitting schools were: Divine Foundation, Blessed Kids, Glasul Divine, Sure Foundation, Bright Future, Mother Care Kiddies Academy, Favoured Children British Academy, and Sedes Sapientiae Nursery/Primary Schools among others.
Aside the above donations, the team also gave words of encouragement to revive the spirits of the downtrodden and all others who fall within that category.
Speaking on behalf of the pupils and students, little Miss Emmaculater Attah, appreciated the team for their kind gesture. She said that the educational materials donated to them would go a long way to assist their academic pursuits.
