Foundation extends free medicare to Anambra

A non-governmental organisation, Nnogha-Ifeoma Okeke Foundation (NIOF), on Monday, at Mbanagu Otolo Nnewi community in Anambra State, organised a free healthcare delivery service to the people of Nnewi and its environs.
The medical outreach, which was conducted by a team of medical experts led by the Chief Medical Director of Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre, Dr Chris Obidigbo, covered diagnosis and treatment of health issues, ranging from dental problems, surgery, and general health Issues.
In her opening remark during the event, the executive director of the foundation, Mrs. Ifeoma Okeke, said the foundation was setup to immortalise her late husband, Nnogha Okeke, whom she described as humane and caring, and an embodiment of charity, especially for the less privileged in the society.
She said that the foundation was basically set up to care for the weak, vulnerable and widows, adding that the reason the foundation came to being was to immortalise her late husband by spreading the work of love.
“We have organised free medical services at Enugu State early this year. Today, we are in Anambra State, and we hope to do this in other states in the South East later.
