Minister inspects facilities at AUTA, promises prompt take off

Minister of the Feder­al Capital Territory, Malam Muham­mad Musa Bello on Monday inspected the infrastructure at the Abuja University of Technology Abaji (AUTA).

Inspecting the facilities alongside other executives of FCTA, Bello promised that his administration would do everything possible to en­sure the full take off of the university.

Though he didn’t men­tioned the date of com­mencement of activities at the school, he called on the people of Abaji and its en­virons to always support his administration in prayers to enable him complete the project.

The Minister said when the institution is it would attract investors which will bring about job creation and human empowerment.

Bello called for positive support from the traditional rulers and other stakehold­ers to ensure completion of the project, which was started by the last adminis­tration.

In his welcome address, the Ona of Abaji, Adamu Baba Yunusa commended the minister for the visit.

Yunusa urged the minis­ter to evolve measures that would bring about success­ful take off of the university.

He said the University will open up more development and boost youth empower­ment, with creation of jobs for many Nigerians.

The Chairman of Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Ab­dullrahman Ajiya, in his welcome address described the minister’s visit as the fulfilment of the APC cam­paign promises to the people of Abaji and environs.

Facilities inspected at the university included, lecture halls, hostels, administration block and the road projects.
