In a deliberate effort to improve service delivery to its citizens at the Primary Health Care level, the Nasarawa State Government in collaboration the World Bank through the Nigeria State Health Intervention Project(NSHIP) have procured 13 Hilux vehicles for the supervision of service in the 13 Local government areas of the state.
Three of the Hilux Vans which are dedicated to PHC agency, 2 vans and a Toyota bus meant for the Hospital Management Board were commissioned by the state deputy governor, Silas Ali Agara.
Agara reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing basic healthcare needs that can better the living condition of the people.
According to him, the presentation of the vehicles was to aid supervision of PHC activities in order to a facilitate quality healthcare service delivery to residents of the state.
He, therefore, charged the agency to make proper use of the vehicles, reiterating that they should be used strickly for the purpose they are meant for.
