Nasarawa govt, World Bank procure 13 vehicles, motorbikes to boost PHC services

In a deliberate effort to improve service delivery to its citizens at the Pri­mary Health Care level, the Nasarawa State Government in collaboration the World Bank through the Nigeria State Health Intervention Project(NSHIP) have pro­cured 13 Hilux vehicles for the supervision of service in the 13 Local government ar­eas of the state.
Three of the Hilux Vans which are dedicated to PHC agency, 2 vans and a Toyo­ta bus meant for the Hos­pital Management Board were commissioned by the state deputy governor, Silas Ali Agara.
Agara reiterated the state government’s commitment to providing basic health­care needs that can better the living condition of the people.
According to him, the pre­sentation of the vehicles was to aid supervision of PHC ac­tivities in order to a facilitate quality healthcare service de­livery to residents of the state.
He, therefore, charged the agency to make proper use of the vehicles, reiterating that they should be used strick­ly for the purpose they are meant for.
