Society for Christian Welfare holds prayer for Nigeria.

A faith based organ­isation , Society for Christian Welfare alongside leaders of differ­ent Christian denomina­tions has held a one- day prayer session in Abuja. The prayer session was meant to seek God’s intervention in the political and economic situation of the country .
The Executive Director of the organisation, Pastor Michael Ekanem, said the event was geared towards congregating Christian leaders across the country together essentially to seek the face of God as a reme­dy to the current economic tragedy facing the country. He added that ‘’the gather­ing was equally to thank God for the successful trip of its members to the Holy Land, Israel through the assistance and sponsorship of the organisation’’.
Leading the prayer ses­sion , Bishop Ajekson Kayode of Pentecostal Flame of Christ Dominion Church , called for God’s abundance grace, mercy and wisdom upon the country’s political leaders for them to lead the coun­try out of the current eco­nomic crises for the sake of sufferingChristians.
The participants from across the country , num­bering over a thousand prayed for the unity of Christian bodies and God’s protection upon Christian in the face of what they described as seeming persecution and killing of Christians espe­cially in the Northern part of the country .
Certificates and Awards were issued to some Chris­tians whom during their stay in Jerusalem,displayed exemplary character as they were formally decorated with the official title of Jeru­salem Pilgrims(JP).
