A 41-year-old woman, Rachael Agboola, has been arraigned before an Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Court over alleged burglary.
Agboola is facing a-three-count charge of burglary, conspiracy and theft.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Sunday Ajayi, told the court that the accused committed the offence on December 26, 2016 at about 2:30pm at Kunle Adeyemi Avenue, GRA, Oke fia, Osogbo.
Ajayi added that the accused conspired with one person now at large to break into the apartment of one Engr Atoyebi Adeyinka, and carted away some household items before they were traced and apprehended.
He said the items stolen include one Plasma Television (N45,000), one Eco bank ATM, one Access bank ATM, one Wema Bank ATM and two wrist watches valued at about N53,000.
He explained that the offense contravened sections 516, 411, and 390(9) of the criminal code cap 34 vol.11 laws of Osun, 2003. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the count charges preferred against her.
Counsel to the accused, Mr Ibrahim Abdullateef, prayed the Magistrate to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mr Olusola Aluko, however, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 and two sureties in like sum.
Aluko said the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction with evidence of tax payments and two passport-sized photographs, attached with an affidavit of means.
