ABU alumni unveil agenda to Kebbi Gov

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Ahmadu Bello Uni­versity (ABU) Zaria Alumni Association has expressed its readiness to work with Keb­bi State government in the area of developmental pro­grammes.
The association’s National President, Prof. Ahmed Tijani Mora, disclosed this on Mon­day when he led the executive members on a courtesy visit to Governor Atiku Bagudu in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
He told his host that some projects considered as pri­ority had been identified by the NEC of the body and ap­proved by the General House for execution.
Among the projects are the building of the pedestrian bridge at the North-Gate on the ever-busy Zaria-Sokoto Highway which will cost N80 million, the Laptop Computer Loan Scheme for students through Omatek Ventures Distribution Ltd.
Others are the construction of the ABU Alumni Associa­tion Postgraduate Hostel at the cost of N2.3 million and the purchase of 33-seater busses with initial acquisition of five.
