EEDC restores electricity to ex-gov Nwobodo's home

Barely 24 hours after the former Governor of the Old Anambra State, Senator Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo raised alarm that the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) denied him power supply in the last one year, EEDC has restored electricity to his residence.
The Authority had reported exclusively that EEDC cut off Nwobodo’s residence at his country home Amechi Awkunanaw, Enugu State and seized his four plots of land, even as he also accused Chief Emeka Offor and Senator Ken Nnamani of master minding the scheme.
However, at exactly 4:10 pm on Saturday last week, EEDC restored electricity to his residence. He was, therefore, thankful to Sir Offor and Senator Nnamani for the positive step taken in the right direction to restore power to his residence.
He, however, said EEDC has not returned his four plots of land inside an acreage which he maintained should be restored to him or EEDC should come for negotiation on the way forward or be prepared meet him in court.
Nwobodo said he gave the parcel of land in question to a federal government parastatal 15 years ago before it was bought over by Sir Emeka Offor.
