Former Super Eagles defender, Ifeanyi Udeze, has said that it will only take the grace of God for him to forgive his step brother (name withheld) after all the ill treatment the later meted to him during his playing days.
In an exclusive interview with The AUTHORITY, the Orlu, Imo state-born former international said that his brother tried everything possible to break his home by feeding his wife with cooked up stories, aimed at tarnishing his image.
“Honestly, it will take divine intervention from God for me to find a place in my heart to forgive him. This is a boy I single handedly made who he is today, he claimed.
“As my step brother, I invested over N10 million on him to bring him to Europe and get him settled. I spent money to pay for his apartment whenever the rent expired, opened a shop for him in Italy and most importantly made sure his papers were regularised.
“But what did I get in return? While I was busy toiling in Europe to make sure that life could be a lot easier for the family, he was busy on his own side-feeding my wife with stories that were unbelievable about me. What he wanted to achieve I can’t tell till date, probably he had an eye for her.
“He defamed my person to the extent that one of my boys who I equally took to Europe had to engage him on a physical combat in Italy for my sake.
“Though for some time now he has been calling friends and relations to help him ask me for forgiveness. It has not been easy as I am still yet to know the reason for his actions.
