Man arrested for failing to pay commercial sex worker

A 30-year-old pharmaceutical distributor, Olalekan Segun, is in police net for refusing to pay a commercial sex worker he had an all-night-out with.

Segun was arrested by the Besam police station after the commercial sex worker, Samson Loveth, laid a complaint at the station. It was gathered that Segun picked her up at 2am in Ikeja and took her straight to his house around Besam area of the airport.

He was also said to have refused to pay for the drinks worth some thousands of naira, which he consumed with the prostitute.

It was learnt that all effort made to collect the money from him failed as he fought her and hit her head with a stick. It was gathered that as a result of the struggling with him in his car, the car key got broken leaving the ignition on.

The Divisional Police Officer of Besam Police Station under Police Airport Command, SP Dave Ade Akinmarin confirmed the incident, saying investigation is still ongoing.

“The lady in question is still receiving treatment from the head injury she sustained. If the case is not settled amicably, we will charge them to court,” he stated.
