Parents have been urged to embrace the culture of close monitoring of their children and wards as doing so would assist in discouraging them from joining bad friends that will lure them into criminal activities.
This admonition was made by the Nasarawa State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lawal Bashir Kano.
A press statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Aso Okereke explained that the commandant made the statement during the Easter holidays while speaking on the readiness of the Command to provide security alongside other sister security agencies in the state.
He further admonished the christian faithful to learn and exhibit the life of sacrifice and love as demonstrated by the son of God adding that the virtues will go a long way in helping to achieve government’s set goals. He also charged the people to be vigilant and watch their environment urging them to report strange faces and strange movements. He stressed the need for them to pass relevant information to security agencies so that crimes could be nibbed in the bud.
