RTEAN wants Gwagwalada chair to construct toilets

The Road Transport Em­ployers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Terri­tory (FCT), has appealed to the Chairman of the Area Council, Hon. Adamu Mustapha Danze to build befitting toilets at the RTEAN’s motor park situated along Lokoja-Abuja Express­way.
This is as tipper drivers in the area council have tasked the chairman to rehabilitate roads for ease of their business.
The Administrative Secretary of the RTEAN, Gwagwalada chapter, Mr
Adrisu Adamu, who spoke to journalists said if the toilets are built at the RTEAN’s motor park, it would attract revenue generation for the council while providing proper convenience in line with best practices.
Adamu said the leadership of the association would continue to co-operate with the govern­ment of Gwagwalada Area Council to actualise its dreams for the association in the area.
He also called on the Nation­al Executive Council (NEC) of the RTEAN to carry the execu­tive members of the association along in the scheme of things to enable the executives of various chapters to know what is hap­pening at the Headquarters.
He however advised mem­bers of the association in Gwagwalada to be law-abiding citizens, while urging them to always in accordance with the constitution of the association.
He pointed out that the lead­ership of the RTEAN had been relating fine with other trans­port unions in Gwagwalada for the sake of peace and unity.
The Secretary noted that since the new administration of RTEAN took over, the welfare of the members has improved drastically, commending the Gwagwalada Police Unit Com­mand for maintaining peace and orderliness within the members of the association in the area.
Meanwhile, chairman of Tipper Drivers Association in Gwagwalada Area Council, Mr. Ibrahim Yau, has called on the Chairman of the area council, Hon. Adamu Mustapha Dauze to repair the dilapidated roads for the benefit of motorists ply­ing the roads in the area and to ease their business.
Yau made the call in a chat with journalists in Gwagwala­da, charging the Chairman to deem it fit to fulfil his campaign promises made to the people during electioneering cam­paign in the area.
He said that his leadership would continue to co-operate with the administration of Gwagwalada Area Council for the sake of revenue generation at the tipper garage. He ap­pealed to the Chairman to carry the workers as well as the drivers of tipper garage along in the scheme of things.
He, however, advised the tip­per drivers to always be in pos­session of their driver’s license and other necessary documents to avoid police harassment on the road.
