Kano State Police Command on Monday launched full-scale investigations into allegations that the state Commissioner for Special Duties, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas directed his supporters to attack members of the Kwankwasiyya group in a video tape.

Briefing journalists on the issue, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Musa Majia,  said Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas was invited to the Command to explain his role in the whole saga, following a petition written by M.K. Umar&Co.

According to him, Abbas and representatives of the Kwankwasiyya group loyal to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were asked to go and produce  the alleged video tape for analysis.

Majia further hinted that the police also arrested two sons and a house boy of the state Commissioner for Special Duties over allegations that they attacked members of the Kwankwassiyya group at a wedding ceremony  in Chiranchi Quarters, Gwale Local Government Area, last weekend.

According to him, though they have been released on bail, investigations are still ongoing into the matter.

The AUTHORIY reports that a clash between loyalists of the Gandujiyya and Kwankwassiyya almost turned bloody as six people were reportedly injured.
