The Senior Special Assistant to the Anambra State Governor on Youth Mobilisation, Hon. Henry Akubuike, has bought University Matriculation Examination (UME) forms of the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) for 20 indigent students of the state.
Akubuike from Enugu-Ukwu said that the forms were for those who cleared their papers including Mathmatics and English Language, but could not afford to buy the forms.
The presentation was done at the Igwe’s Palace by the Paramount King of Enugwu Ukwu and Umunri, Igwe Obumnemeh Ekpeh.
Twenty persons drawn from the various villages benefitted from the largesse. They will also be enrolled in extra mural classes with stipends to ensure they are well prepared for the examination.
Akubuike said: ‘’I want to ensure that these youths get the basic education to help place them rightfully in society in the future.”
Sir Ekpeh prayed for the beneficiaries to do well in the forthcoming examination.
