UNODC, NAFDAC launch 4 policy documents to tackle drug abuse

Concerned by the rising cases of drug abuse in the country, the United Nation Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in partnership with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), have concluded plans to launch four policy documents and guidelines for controlled medicines and drug dependence treatment.

The four publications which were jointly developed by UNODC and NAFDAC with the support of the Federal Ministry of Health, according to a statement by the Director (Special Duties) NAFDAC, Dr. Abubakar Jimoh, will be launched by the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole next week.
