As the Week 8 fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League take place across the country this weekend, soccer loving Nigerians will be entertained to some exciting football matches.

Rangers International of Enugu will be at home to ambush visiting El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri while defending champions, Akwa United will travel to last season’s runners up, MFM of Lagos.

Niger Tornedoes who lost to Heartland FC will attempt to redeem their battered image when they host Nasarawa United in a North Central derby that promises to be explosive as usual. Wikki Tourists of Bauchi and Lobi Stars of Makurdi will try each other size wile new comers Yobe Desert Stars hosts Rivers United in Damaturu.

Sunshine Stars of Akure will be at home to former champions, Kano Pillars while weeping boys Kwara United will attempt to salvage some pride when they take on Katsina United in Ilorin.

Abia Warriors of Umuahia will take a very short trip to Rivers State as guests to new boys, Go Round FC of Port Harcourt. The match of the week is the fixture which pairs former champions, Enyimba International against defending champions, Plateau United of Jos in Aba.
