Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa has revealed that he will be fit enough to stand in between the sticks for the national team, the Super Eagles during the proposed friendly game against Poland on March 23rd.
Recall that Ezenwa was ruled out for 4 weeks due to knee injury that knocked him out of final of 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) against hosts Morocco.
Speaking on Wednesday inside the recovery gym center with Super Eagles Physio in Abuja, Ezenwa thanked Nigerian who have been praying for him and promised not to disappoint them.
When asked whether he will be fit for Poland friendly games in March? He replied: “I am always ready when I am called upon to represent my beloved country Nigeria.
According to him, “I thank God for the quick recovery, as you can see rehabilitation is going on very well and now I can do things that I could not do then in Morocco after I sustained the injury, I can jump, I can run, I can do visibility exercise
“But the most important thing is that I just need to observe the maximum time which the MRI showed in Morocco, I just have to observe it so when coming back I will be strong enough to do my best for my beloved country Nigeria.
“The MRI showed 3 to 4 weeks from 31st of January when I sustained the injury, and I think 28th of February will make it four weeks.”
“I need to thank my fans who always pray for me I promised never to disappoint them, I will always work hard to make Nigerians happy whenever I have been called upon by the coach to be between the sticks of the Nigerian goal post.”
Nigeria will play Poland in Warsaw on March 23th and Serbia on March 27, 2018.
