No fewer than 25 youths drawn from the states in the North-Central geo-political zone will on Monday (today) begin a two-week skill acquisition training programme aimed at raising future innovators for the country.
The programme which is being organised by Toncia Energy Consulting and Professional Services Limited and sponsored by Total E&P Nigeria Limited is expected to focus on skill areas such as solar/inverter production and installation, paint manufacturing as well as PC hardware repairs.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the organiser, the training programme will kick-start in Abuja on April 16 and come to a climax April 27, 2018 with the award of certificates of proficiency and starter packs to all the participants.
The statement said experienced resource persons drawn from Water Clark Nigeria Ltd, Global Distance Learning Institutes (GDLI) and others are expected to impact positively on the trainees during the programme.
“Prominent personalities from the National Assembly, Total E&P Nig. Ltd, Entrepreneurship Agencies, related government agencies and other stakeholders will grace the opening and closing ceremonies.
“Toncia Energy Consulting & Professional Services Ltd had organised similar training also sponsored by TOTAL E&P Nig. Ltd for participants in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja and hope to do same to other participants from other geo-political zones in Nigeria in the nearest future,” the statement said.
