Nigeriaa��s men table tennis team has been drawn in Group F against Slovakia, Argentina, Turkey, Australia and Bulgaria for the 2018 World Team Table Tennis Championships in Halmstad, Sweden.
The competition, which will hold from April 29 to May 6, comprises the championship top division, second division and third division.
Nigeria are in the second division and would aim to gain promotion to the championship division, which has the like of China, Germany and Egypt.
The Nigerian team consists of veteran player Segun Toriola as well as Aruna Quadri, Olajide Omotayo and Bode Abiodun.
They take on Turkey in their first match on April 29 before playing Argentina on April 30. Nigeria play Slovakia on May 1 while they meet Bulgaria on May 2 and Australia on May 3.
Other countries in the second division a�� seeking promotion a�� are Chile, Denmark, Ukraine, Thailand, Holland, Canada, Spain, the United States, Iran, Puerto Rico, Italy, Hungary, Greece, Paraguay, Ecuador and Serbia.
Nigeria failed to gain promotion at the 2016 edition in Malaysia, after failing to finish among the first 28 countries, but national coach Nosiru Bello says it will be different at the end of this yeara��s competition.
Bello believes the teama��s achievement at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia, where they finished second, would motivate them to do better than their last outing.
