Kachikwu denies interest in OML 11

The Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has no
interest in OML 11, a statement from the ministry has said.

The statement by Director Press and Public Relations, Mr. Idang Alibi in Abuja
said the minister has had not conversationA�with Chevron Nigeria Limited about the oil block.

He said the allegation of his interest in the oil block was made a letter dated April 10, 2018 written to President Muhammadu Buhari by the Ken Saro Wiwa Associates (KSWA).

a�?Having reviewed the said publication, the Honourable Minister of State wishes to categorically state for the records as follow: Chevron Nigeria Limited has controverted the allegation in its entirety in the April 20, 2018 edition of The Guardian Newspaper and reiterated that
it does not have any equity in
OML 11.

a�?The Honourable Minister of State has not held any conversation with ChevronN NigeriaLimited to discuss OML 11 nor made any recommendation to Chevron in respect of OML 11, nor indicated an interest in any company that might be collaborating with Chevron or any party to develop OML 11.
