Gova��s wife vows improved health status for rural dwellers

The wife of the Enugu State Governor, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi, has reiterated her commitment toA�A�initiating and executing programmes that will impact positively on the lives of the people, especially the rural dwellers.

She stated this during her routine free medical outreach at Ezeagu local government area of the state and advisedA�A�women to play supportive roles to their husbands for the good of their families and society at large.

a�?When you play a supportive role in your family or community, it would reflect in the development of that area,a�? she said.

Mrs. Ugwuanyi, who supervised the administering of drugs toA�A�residents of the area including school children also reminded women of the importance ofA�A�local foods to human health.

She urged them to take advantage of the medical outreach to improve the health status of their families and communities.

Earlier in her speech, the wife of the Ezeagu Local Government Area Chairman, Mrs. Ijeoma Ezinwa, applauded Mrs. Ugwuanyi for her contributions to the wellbeing of the less privilege in the state.

While describing the governora��s wife as a�?a peaceful and caring woman who is a blessing to her husband and the people of Enugu State,a�? she prayed God to strengthen her.
