Oil communities of Oil Mining Lease (OML30) have called on Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, to terminate the existing pipeline surveillance contracts awarded to the Chairman of Community Development Board (CDB) over what was described as breach of trust.
A communique issued at the end a of a meeting held in Effurun, Delta State between the representatives HEOSL and stakeholders of the Oil Producing Communities on Wednesday urged Heritage Oil to terminate the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to the CDB chairman.
The CommuniquA� signed by community representatives and HEOSL, read: a�?That all Trans Forcados Pipeline communities should support the new initiative undertaken by HEOSL from management of community relations by former companies.
a�?Out rightly reject the illegality in the unlawful extension of the CDB and her immediate dissolution.
a�?That HEOSL should address all legacy issues and promises made in the GMoU and the new management to turn things around for the interest of the communities”.
