Atletico Madrid forward, Feernando Torres was on target yesterday as his side defeated the Super Eagles Team B 3-2 in an international friendly played yesterday at the Godswin Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali who was on loan to MVV Maastricht in the Netherlands opened scoring for the Nigerian side with a screamer in the 31st minutes.
Atletico Madrid drew level two minutes later when Emem Eduok was caught in possession by Thomas Patey who slide in Angel Correa and the forward buried his effort past Femi Thomas in goal for Nigeria to bring scores to 1-1.
Torres who was a second half substitute headed home a corner kick flung into the box of Nigeria to put Atletico Madrid 2-1 up in the 63rd minutes.
However, Sarpsborg of Norway forward Usman Mohammed showed great composure as he turned three Atletico defenders inside-out to slot home a delightful equalizer.
But experience showed when with just five minutes from full time Borja Garces scored the killer goal to give the visitors the victory.
