As the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matches enters Week 23, FC Ifeanyi Ubah will attempt to redeem their image as they travel to strugglers, Kwara United of Ilorin.
Recall that the Nnewi billionaires surprisingly lost to visiting Niger Tornadoes in front of their home fans who had trooped out to cheer them to victory.
This game will be interesting because the Nnewi boys will do everything to avoid another defeat which may drag them down to the troubled relegation waters.
In other fixtures, defending champions, Plateau United of Jos will be home to Abia Warriors. The Warriors will be travelling to the tin city basking in the euphoria of their win over El-Kanemi Warriors last weekend.
Niger Tornadoes will also attempt to consolidate as they welcome Wikki Tourists just as Yobe Desert Stars will be at home for Akwa United who had the better of Go Round FC last week.
However, Go Round who play their home matches at Omoku in Port Harcourt will have their hands full when they take on inform Lobi Stars who are sitting pretty comfortably on the summit of the table after 21 matches.
It is going to be an Oriental battle when Rangers International take on next door neighbours, Heartland FC of Owerri at the Cathedral. Heartland who are at the rock bottom of the log will attempt to save some face even as it looks very bleak since Rangers who lost last week at Lobi will want to smile home with the maximum points.
It will be Sunshine Stars at home to Nasarawa United while Kano Pillars and Rivers United will try each other for size. MFM will be at home to El-Kanemi Warriors.
However the game between Enyimba and Katsina has been postponed following Enyimba’s continental engagement this week. NPFL Week 23 fixtures
