MAURICE OKAFOR in this report says that Hon Ezekiel Chukwu, the current chairman of Ani Nri Local Government Area of Enugu state has set the pace with the construction of a befitting pavilion that will enhance social, educational and economic activities for his rural dwellers.
Hon Ezekiel told The Authority South-East that his executive council on inception of office in December 2017 embarked on meaningful projects that will impact of the lives of their people,
He discovered that the council headquarters lacked a befitting hall and compound where social events and government activities can usually be hosted to accommodate a large audience.
The five thousand crowd capacity pavilion located at Ndeaboh, the council headquarters is a further measure to the quest of urbanization of the council and put it on a higher pedestal that will make life worth living for the rural dwellers and curtail the rate of urban migration among the Youths of the area.
It will be an avenue for relaxation, sporting activities and a mini stadium for match pasts for school children during children’s day and Independence Day celebrations. In addition, the pavilion is adding to the sophistication of Ani Nri Local Government headquarters.
The local government chairman who assured that the project will be completed before the end of the year, simply said that he is replicating Governor Ugwuanyi’s policy of infrastructural development of the state in Ani Nri local government area.
