A Non-Governmental Organization, Care for Unemployed Youth Initiative in Nigeria (CUYIN), has empowered over 100 youths of Idoma extraction through a training in telecommunication.

The NGO is an initiative of Chief Mike Onoja, a retired Federal Permanent Secretary from the Senatorial District of Benue state.

President of the NGO, Comrade Adaka Ibrahim disclosed this in an interview with The AUTHORITY in  Makurdi.

He described the gesture as one in a million and worthy of emulation by other well spirited individuals and corporate organizations.

He noted that both private individuals and corporate organizations have crucial roles to play in taking youths out  of unemployment market by adopting strategies and measures that would meaningfully give them a sense of belonging.

The youth activist observed that the task of nation building must be complementary as government alone cannot shoulder all the responsibilities.

”We must collectively do something to tackle the issue of unemployement in our society because the population is fast increasing on a daily basis and government alone cannot address this”
