Sultan, Tambuwal ask Muslims live lessons of Ramadan

The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad 111 has asked the Muslims Ummah to live the lessons they learnt from Ramadan.

He congratulated them and thanked Almighty Allah for seeing them through the fasting period.

The Sultan had on Wednesday charged the Muslims to look out for the moon yesterday at the setting of the sun which is 29 days of the month of Ramadan.

In a statement released to journalists by the Sultanate Council, the Waziri of Sokoto, Prof. Ibrahim Junaidu said that the new moon would mark the month of Shawwal 1438AH.

He therefore advised Muslims to live the lessons learnt during Ramadan.

The eminent monarch also admonished them to live harmoniously with other Nigerians despite differences in their religious and tribal affiliations.

Also, the Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has congratulated the Muslim Ummah and urged them to be tolerance, humble and kind to one another.

Tambuwal stressed his commitment to providing better services to the people of the state.

On his part, the governorship aspirant of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Hon. Mohammed Sadiq, wished the people of the state happy Eid-el-fitri celebration.
