The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) will on Saturday (tomorrow) welcome 16,033 new students at its 17th matriculation ceremony.

A statement made available to The AUTHORITY on Thursday by the University’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr. Ibrahim Sheme, said the ceremony would be holding simultaneously at the 78 study centres of the institutions across the country.

According to Sheme, the event would also serve as a platform to formally welcome all freshmen admitted into the university for the 2017/2018 academic session.

The statement, however, said the central ceremony will be held at the Abuja Model Centre, Dutsen Alhaji, Abuja, where the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Abdalla Uba Adamu, is expected to welcome the fresh students and matriculate them into the university.
