The Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) team of Junior Secondary School, Jikwoyi, Abuja, has launched two projects to boost business.

The business projects include a drone academy where young people between the ages of 7-17 years learn to assemble, fly and maintain drones.

The drones are expected to boost sectors such as education, media, agriculture, transportation, among others.

Speaking at the graduation of a set 76 trainee, Miss Imam Fadilat was full of appreciation for the opportunity afforded her the training

In her words: “With this knowledge of drone technology, I am set to play an important role in tomorrow’s mega workforce.”

The second project developed by the students is a mobile app to meet the need of “cord cutters”, who prefer streaming videos and other contents online than watching cable or satellite TV.

Johanna Ijioma, the C.E.O. of Global Innovation SAGE Team Television [GIST TV] said at the event, which took place in the school premises recently that “the app has positioned us as problem solvers” and appealed to young people to use their mobile phone responsibly by downloading the GIST TV APP.

In her remarks, the principal of the school, Mrs. A. A Adesiyankan commended the students for the feat.

She also commended the Alhaji Kabir Matazu, Chairman of the F.C.T Universal Basic Education Board and Dr. Dikko Radda, Director General of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) for their support.
