Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has hinted of modalities being put in place by his administration to make the state the economic hub of Africa.
The governor, spoke after in Abuja last Thursday when he received The AUTHORITY Governor of the Year 2017 Award.
According to him, arrangements had been concluded to have uninterrupted power supply in the state.
Represented at the event by the Deputy Governor, Ude Oko Chukwu, the governor stated that a shoe manufacturing company and other establishments are to be set up to make Abia a vibrant state and an economic force in Africa.
Ikepazu explained how far the state had gone in terms of agriculture and infrastructural development, adding that “we will continue in that trajection.”
The governor, who said that he recognised the enormous challenges faced by the media industry in Nigeria, thanked the management and staff of The AUTHORITY for honouring him.
