The Governing Council of the Lagos State University (LASU) has approved the appointments of a new registrar and a bursar for the institution.
The appointment of Mohammed Amuni as the new registrar and Said Olayinka as bursar was announced at the 118th statutory meeting of the university in Lagos on Thursday.
Coordinator of the university’s Centre for Information Press and Public Relations Unit, Mr. Adekoya Martins, who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen, said the appointments followed the council’s consideration and approval of the recommendation of the reports by the Joint Selection Board.
The appointments of the new principal officers, according to the statement, take immediate effect.
Amuni takes over from Mr Akinwunmi Lewis, whose tenure expired in June, while Mr Olayinka also takes over from the former Bursar, Adetayo Hassan.
Until his appointment as registrar, Amuni served as the deputy registrar of the university in charge of Academic Staff Establishment, while Mr Olayinka, who now holds sway as bursar was the institution’s Director, Internal Audit.
