Not less than 83.2 per cent of the would-be teachers who sat for this year’s May Diet professional qualifying examination came out with successful results.
The Registrar/Chief Executive of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Professor Josiah Ajiboye, said the candidates were drawn from the 33 states and the Federal Capital Territory, during the examination held from 7-9 June, 2018.
According to him, a total number of 21, 882 candidates were cleared for the examination while only 16, 611 candidates eventually sat for it across the various Computer Based Test Centres in the country.
He said: “The result of the 2018 May diet of the teachers’ professional qualifying examination was an indication that all hopes are not lost over the moves towards restoring the lost glory of education in Nigeria
“This year, we have recorded a resounding success in the conduct of the examination in the 33 states and FCT with 42 centres as scheduled for the batch ‘A’ examination.”
The TRCN boss called on candidates to check on the TRCN website for their results, but added that the list released by the Council contains only the names of candidates who were successful in the examination.
