The three Boeing 737-300 Series acquired by Max Air Limited for domestic use is set to commence operation on July 9, following the official flag-off performed by Katsina state Governor, Aminu Bello Masari and his Jigawa counterpart, Badaru Abubakar who in their separate remarks affirmed that the venture will not only create employment opportunities, but will also enhance socio-ecomomic development in the country.
Masari and Badaru Abubakar performed the commissioning of the aircrafts at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) in the company of the Deputy Governor of Kano state, Prof. Hafiz Abubakar.
According to Masari, Max Air’s entry into the domestic market will not only create more employment opportunities, but will also boost economic activities in the country.
He expressed optimism that Max Air will continue to grow from strength to strength in the Aviation industry in Nigeria.
Governor Masari expressed the belief that Max Air would add value to Air passengers, especially from the northern to southern part of Nigeria.
He further noted that Max Air has been well positioned to contribute to the economic growth of Nigeria with domestication of its activities by making its area of coverage wider .
He said the proprietor of the company, Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal has been a source of a pillar of support to Katrina state government since the creation of the state.
Also speaking, Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state said the aircrafts provided by Max Air is a good development in the Aviation industry in Nigeria.
He said the domestic operation embarked upon by Max Air would provide employment opportunities for Nigerians.
Highlight of the ceremony include inspection of the Aircrafts and other Max Air facilities at the airport by the dignitaries in attendance.
