An indigenous oil company based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Belemaoil Producing Limited, has disassociated itself from a purported report that it is recruiting graduates and non-graduates into four vacant positions.

It said that there was not undertaking the purported “major ongoing recruitment exercise.”

In a press issued by the company’s Manager, Corporate Affairs, Mr. Samuel Abel-Jumbo, Belemaoil stated that the rumoured recruitment was a scam being perpetrated by fraudsters to mislead the public.

Abel-Jumbo said: “The online publication which states that BelemaOil Recruitment 2018 is open for unemployed SSCE, OND, HND and BA/Bsc holders to apply for Fresh Science Graduates Well Testing Trainees Programme 2018, Field Service Engineer – Rotating Equipment, Assistant Manager QHSE and Senior Business Development Executive, is intended to hoodwink unsuspecting Nigerian job seekers.”

While condemning the acts by some suspected fraudsters, Belemaoil reiterated that, “there is currently no such employment or recruitment exercise ongoing in the company,” adding that it does not engage in online recruitment and had no plan whatsoever to do so either now or in the future.

“That Belemaoil Producing Limited is not known as BelemaOil & Gas as stated by the scammers. The scammers made a lot of blunders in their haste to justify their fraudulent act intended to take advantage of the gullible unemployed Nigerians,” he said.

The company urged the public to disregard the recruitment rumour.
