Amputee football: Dalung set to make history

Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung has a date in the history of sports development, if he lends his full supports to the successful outing of the country’s Amputee footballers to the 15th edition of the Amputee Football World Cup coming up later this year in Maxico.
The Nigerian Amputee team to the tournament which commences from Oct. 24th to November 6th this year would begin their campaign in group E with teams from Brazil, Russian and EL-Salvador.
According to the President of the Amputee Football Federation, Alhaji Suleiman Isah, no minister of sports in Nigeria has ever encouraged Amputee football like Barrister Solomon Dalung whom he said believes that all athletes with various forms of disability must be supported to showcase their God given talents
The minister will therefore be making history in sports development in Nigeria as the first to take Amputee football to its ever first World Cup appearance.
“This first appearance in the world cup has shown that the minister has created a new record and the whole Amputee football family will forever remain great full to the leadership style of the minister”, the President pointed out.
Isah therefore made a passionate appeal to the ministry to call the boys to camp immediately because according to him the country is in “group of death”.
Early camping, he stated will enable the team to be well prepared for the task ahead, assuring that ” the special Eagle will not let the country down in the first ever World Cup for amputee footballers.
