From Francis Nansak,Lafia
Former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa has blamed Nigerians for voting President Muhammadu Buhari who is a soldier that is trained for war and not to govern a country.
Bafarawa made the statement at the PDP state secretariat in Lafia on Sunday, while declaring his intention to contest the presidential seat under the party.
He explained that he left the APC because of the injustices meted on him by the party, adding that Buhari under his political tutelage, was a pilot project that was started in his house.
He added that Buhari was trained as a cadet soldier before his elevation to the rank of general in the military because it is his profession.
According to him “Don’t vote somebody into power who does not possess democratic tenet in his character to govern a country as Nigeria.”
Earlier the PDP state chairman, Francis Orogu, said the visit of the presidential aspirant was apt and timely.
Orogu however added that Nasarawa state is a PDP state ,stating that even though the party is not in control, it was able to produce two senators, three house of representatives members at the National Assembly.
