Nnewi citizens urged to embrace ‘think home’ philosophy

The people of industrial town of Nnewi, Anambra state have been called upon to embrace the think home philosophy.

The President General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Ugochukwu Udemezue made this call during the opening ceremony of the town’s 2018 new yam festival.

Chief Udemezue said the happenings in the country and indeed all over the world has made it imperative for the affluent sons and daughters of Nnewi to bring part of their investments home even as he commended those that have heeded the call.

He said with relish that the Nnewi people have been doing the town proud by distinguishing themselves in their chosen human endeavor.

The Nnewi PG while commending the Anambra state governor, Chief Willie Obiano for his interest in the industrial town urged the governor to do something urgently about erosion menace ravaging the town.

He also passionately appealed to the governor to extend the restriction of operations of commercial motorcyclists from 7PM to 10PM so that the Nnewi people can enjoy the infrastructure like street lightings put in place by his government.

The presidential aspirant of Young Progressive Party (YPP) Prof Kingsley Moghalu delivered the keynote address in an occasion chaired by Barr Emeka Etiaba (SAN) and witnessed by eminent sons and daughters of Nnewi from near and far.
