A member of the Nigeria Football; Federation (NFF) technical committee, Aminu Balele-Kurfi has described the Super Eagles Chief Coach, Gernot Rohr as a failed coach who is not good enough for the senior national team.

Balele-Kurfi who spoke from his base in Katsina further said that the Franco-German tactician is not a coach to reckon with because he has failed to take responsibilities for the poor outing of the Super Eagles at the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup.

However, despite the fact that the Super Eagles failed to get the second round of the World Cup, Rohr has already started a fresh two new year contract which was offered to him even before the start of the global championship.

Kurfi who is also the Chairman of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Katsina United side; “Rohr is not a coach, he has only succeeded in spoiling Nigeria football even after he was given all the support he needed. He went to the World Cup and did whatever nonsense he wanted to do, he has failed to take up responsibilities for the team’s dismal performance in Russia.”

The outspoken football administrator, further said Rohr had not been able to submit his technical report to the technical committee more than one month after the World Cup.

He also expressed reservations over the squad listed by Rohr for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles on September 8, insisting it was wrong to have overlooked domestic based players.

“The list of players for the next AFCON qualifier is not in tandem with our resolve to reposition our football, imagine that apart from goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, all the players listed are foreign based.”

Kurfi however, advised Rohr to begin to watch more of the domestic league instead of the reliance on foreign leagues where according to him, he engages players who are even on division one and three leagues.
